How to Grill, Bake and Serve on Himalayan Salt Cooking Block And Clean It Afterwards
The trend of cooking on Himalayan salt cooking slab has already been taking the world by storm for all the wonderful reasons. No doubt, it’s a little tricky yet a unique experience to cook food on a salt slab but only for the first few times.
The method of cooking on a salt block is quite easy and straightforward, heat the slab well, drop the ingredients on top and watch them sizzle beautifully. Before starting grilling, making or serving on the salt slab always make sure to dry it completely.
Grilling:
Place the dry salt slab on an outdoor grill or stovetop and slowly increase the temperature until it reaches at least 260C (500F). Pro Tip to Clean the Salt Slab:
Don’t put the salt slab directly under water to clean it instead use a damp sponge. Moreover, don’t leave the dirty salt slab for too long, try to wash it right after it gets cold.
